I accidentally broke my window a little over a year ago, and had it replaced by a local convetible top shop. The repair lasted about 6 weeks when the adhesive let loose. The shop would NOT stand behind their work, even though they gave me a verbal one year warranty. (Lesson learned... get it in writing.)
Several posts on this board recommended Marine Goop. I tried it. Part of my repair worked, and part of it failed. On the part that failed, I tried a second time, this time ensuring that all old adhesive was removed, and both surfaces very clean. I also took an applicator stick and "worked" the Goop on both surfaces to ensure the adhesive had a good bond with the glass and top. The repair is intact now for about a year.
