This is a wise time to take preemptive action to replace this stuff. 99 was a transition year, some cars had two idler pulleys, later models had just one. Check to see what you have. For sure you will need the small dia. (about 2") ribbed one (it has "teeth" or grooves that mesh with the belt grooves. This one is located back near the tensioner and is made of black plastic. The other one can be observed (if you have it, and I hope you dont, because it is a pain to replace) by looking at the centerpoint of the valve cover, then down behind the airbox toward the crank pulley. it is larger (4" dia.) and the outer periphery will be smooth plastic as the outside or smooth surface of the belt. You can opt to replace this or better yet abandon in place and go with the "short belt mod" as well chronicled on the NG900 Board (do a search). You will need a belt as well. The belt you order depends on whether you have one or two pulleys, what you opt to do, or if you go with the short belt mod. I suggest using Genuine Saab pulleys (GenuineSaab.com) as there are some really bad aftermarket ones. If you plan to keep the car for a long time, you may want to consider a new aluminum one with a replaceable bearing, these are available from a number of sources (SaabSite, etc.) and will save you money over the long haul by allowing you to buy replacement bearings for 5 bucks from a local bearing shop. Expect prices of 30.00 for pulleys, 30.00 for belt.
One more thing, I found it better to raise the passenger side, remove the rt. front wheel for belt replacement. Two reasons - easier to thread the belt on the lower pulleys and easier on your back for working on the topside (less bending required). Have a drawing of the belt routing available BEFORE you start. Takes about an hour unless you are a glutton for punishment and decide to replace the lower pulley if you have one, add an hour for this.
