The Viggen is more visceral than other 900/93's.
On acceleration you may be hearing the trany, exhaust, or intake (or a combination of these). You are getting max boost in 3rd-5th, so it may sound different than 1st and 2nd. When the weather warms up, get out on a highway and open the windows, you will get some very different sounds then what you were use to.
On braking you may be hearing the slotted brakes, though I have only heard the brakes while braking very hard.
