I think I understand what you mean but I just want to clarify. Telephone volume is independent of radio volume, meaning that if the radio volume is at say 60%, and I switch to telephone and then adjust the volume (on the head unit), when I switch back to the radio it will still be at 60%?

I ask just to make sure that there isn't some other control for the telephone volume than the volume knob.

I forgot to mention that I used 5-pin connectors between the jack/switch panel, and the head unit for ease of installation and removal. I will bypass these and see if they are problematic.

It shouldn't matter where I ground the signal and switch wires as long as they are grounded on the PCB? I get continuity between the two. I could theoretically ground them to the same spot without trouble?
