Reason for Distilled water

The whole reason for distilled water is that it is the cleanest type of water readily available to the public.
Its really the minerals thats in tap water (and some bottled water) that is questionable...Its all about corrosion and how to avoid it....
If one did not use distilled water, or flushed with regular tap water, but didn't purge it, and 2-3 years down the road, theres a hole in the radiator, you wonder.... :-)
Comparatively, distilled water isn't that expensive afterall.
