My Saab CD/Stereo has been acting odd the last few days. Here’s the scenario:
Washed car Sunday afternoon, turned stereo on with the key out (always do this). Nothing unusual.
Monday morning when I started the car the stereo was on, but the SID was blank (as if the stereo was off). Turned the stereo off, then on. All was good.
Tuesday I had no problems.
This morning I woke up, disconnected the battery to check the fluid level. Topped off the battery, and reconnected. When I opened the car door the stereo was on (key was in pocket). Turned the stereo off and went inside to wash hands. When driving to work, I inserted a CD. After 5 seconds the CD restarted (and continued to restart) so I ejected the CD blew off any dust and reinserted the CD. Had the same problem, so I skipped to the second track. Once again after 5 seconds the CD restarted (track 1). Ejected the CD and put in another CD, but had the same restart problem. At lunch the problem continued.
Anyone have any suggestions?
