did i just blow my rear oil seal? (long)

regarding yesterday's problem I posted about having trouble getting into gear even though the clutch was pressed down...my suspicion is the clutch and pressure plate got overheated and stuck together because of oil on the clutch?
I unfortunately did a stupid thing. On Sunday I changed my oil...i do this so often, that I've stopped checking the dipstick after i change it.
But instead of my usual 4.5 quarts (about 4 liters) I accidentily put in 5.5 quarts. The dipstick was 1.25 qts over.
I have drained off about 1 quart, and the car seems to drive perfectly. Clutch doesn't grab or chatter, nor does it slip. Clutch is disengaging even after a 40 minute commute, the gears shift perfectly.
So do I now have a leaking rear oil seal?!
Or did some "frothy oil/air" somehow make it's way through the seal and onto the clutch?
