Hi everyone i was curious as to see if anyone new what i might be missing?
Simply my mother has a 2000 9-3 it is a 2 door and had no door speakers from factory only dash and trunk, i opened the doors today and found the wiring was there and everything was perfurated for easy removal behind the panel screen where the speaker would go. So i removed them of course and bolted on 2 new 9-3 SE front door speakers plugged them in and they don't work. I haven't done much more since night fall fell shortly after installing. I have a 99 9-5 and believe the door speakers are amplified...could this be why they do not work on hers? I just assumed since plug harnesses were at location that they were plug and play. Or purhaps is there something in the dash that has to be plugged in? anycase i guess if its because her car has no amp only deck preamp, i can splice them into the front dash speakers. I was just hoping to give her car bass, being the small dash and paper rear spkrs aren't exactly booming with it. 4 speakers vs. my 9 in my 9-5 lol yeesh.
