Hello - my saab is a '99 Saab 9-3. I purchased the car for 9k about 10 months ago. I let it sit in the winter for a month because the ignition system went by the wayside(part = $600, labor $400). Then I noticed the interface for the AC/Heat was acting funny - symptoms = when I go to start the car the unit is always on full blast - sometimes during use it doest not respond to controls - sometimes displays the numeral 0 in the top left hand corner and remains malfunctioning. Then coincidentally(or maybe not) the A/C compressor seized and the serpentine belt broke(was able to stop the car before the belt broke)(compressor = $700, labor = $400).
Anybody have an idea - Did the computer malfunctioning cause the A/C unit to seize or did the seizing A/C unit cause the computer to malfunction - and am I paying fair value for my parts.
Thanks everyone in advance.
P.S. I still love the car.
