As I stated, I used Heet only to remove any water from the tank!
Also, the vehicle always and only receives mid grade or better >= 90oct.
Before the listed tune up items I DID run a bottle of "gumout" FI Cleaner through it. As I do with every oil change. So that was not the the problem. As stated, it was only after the listed service items that the MPG dropped so drastically.
After posting I did disconnect the battery for about an hour (on a hunch), and then we used it for a 4 hour, freeway driving, road trip over the weekend.
The best it saw was 26mpg and averaged around 24mpg.
Previously, freeway driving would always see over 30.
I will try resetting the plug gap to .6mm as "REM in Seattle" suggested, reset the ECU again and report back.
