I know that the DI cleans the plugs with a burst of spark activity, but it seems to me that one could not realistically get the torx screws out and the electrical connector uplugged before this cycle was over.
I would not think that any danger exists by touching the top of the DI while the clean cycle happens, only by sticking your finger in the sparkplug nipple with one hand while holding ground with the other.
However, I'm not going to test my theory... I'll take your word for it !!
