You can't really upgrade the crossover of a speaker that does not have one. The Infinity Kappa 23.5CF as a separate crossover. If you choose a speaker that has a small bypolar electolytic cap glued to the bottom of a coax-tweeter, you are going to have a hard time doing anything with that.
You can pick up a pair of 23.5CF's on ebay for $50US, perhaps less.
I don't think that you will find that the rear speakers will be able to compete with the 32.5 speakers. One step at a time and listen to the results and judge things from there.
Use a cap from the link. Film and foil is best. You can also replace the electrolytic completely with film and foil or metalized film. I would not use any caps that are made for power supply use etc. It it is sold as a speaker x-over cap, then it will be quite decent.
Get the Kappas, pop open the X-over and get the cap size if you are going to replace. If its 2.2 and you can only get 2.0, thats fine too.
So get the Kappas, open up the X-over and get your info, then install and listen to them while you are waiting for the caps. Then install the caps and listen again. You will be able to hear the differences. Find a CD that has vocals that really come through great and note how that improves with the new caps.
