No!
WD40 is not a lube! It will remove moisture and probably some rust as well.
The original poster (and everyone else who cares about their car) should regularlly (once a year at least!) lube their door hinge/latches with a
spray/drip on lubricant. I use a silicone-based spray on. It gets a little messy, but it wipes off easy. My doors (michigan weather) needs it or it squeals during/after the winter months...
Its also listed in the regular service list in your manual.
