No, you do not need to change the clutch.
Simply measure the space between the face plate and the pulley.
It must be little less or equal to 0,8 mm. (sorry I do not have translation in inches)
If it is bigger than that, undo the plate and check for the (shims?) behind the face plate.
You may have too many or a too thick one.
Take away the amonut needed to have the space lower or equal to 0,8.
Reassamble the plate and check. It should be ok now.
