Yep... did this and there is big time engine movement. This is what I felt upon acceleration and then letting off of the gas... "THUD!"
I guess that there is an alumninum triangular bracket to which the engine mounts are connected to (sit on top of?)... and this appears to have broken. I just got two engine mounts done last week, so the shop that I go to is now checking to see if this broke or perhaps the mount wasn't fastened properly the first time. I imagine it is the later, as when they were putting on the engine mount I think they would have seen that this triangular bracket (not sure what it is called) was in bad shape.
BTW- Thanks for the response Dean. Your expertise and posts over the years have really helped me enjoy this car more and more the longer I own it! Glad you didn't go away when your NG went belly up a few years ago.
