Small variations for my 2001...
The collar immediately around the lock cylinder is an antenna for the immobilizer. Twist it counterclockwise about 20 degrees & lift. Unplug the little wire. Then snap out the bigger cover surrounding the ignition switch.
Mine is 5-speed, so the business about the shifter lamp is N/A.
I didn't need to replace the ignition switch, all I did was remove the console. So I don't know about the rest...
