Try to get service records - dealer should be able to run the VIN and at least tell what has been done under warranty.

Hopefully prior owner has been useing synthetic oil. Engine Sludge is an issue if oil change intervals to long.

If MAF has not been changed I would do it. Probably every 50,000 miles to be safe. Strong speculation bad MAF has caused piston failures - especially in 99 Viggens.

Other then that just getting a feel of whether the car has been taken care of or been ragged on.

Absolutely a wonderful car - very fast, fun and unique.
