FYI.. The current SAAB RECALL NO. 15018 is for 9-3's, 2001 and 2002 model years. Search this board for "15018" or see "http://www.nhtsa.gov" for RECALLS. I stumbled across the recall last night, though I have seen a few other posts on this problem a while back. This happened to me...July 4th 2003, picking up burgers for the grill. Come back to the car, smell gas near my 2k Viggen Conv. Gas all over the parking lot. Thinking it's not my car I drive home, then realizing it's pouring out, I try and make it to the dealer(Not smart, just tow it). I was really upset and ready to sell the car....About 2 miles away the car stops. 3.5 hours later i get it to the dealer via tow. Upper housing on fuel pump is broken, charged for a new fuel pump. About $400 bucks... So this is not just '01's and '02's 9-3's in my opinion. I place a call to Saab Customer service to let them know about at least including Viggens, but probably all 9-3's '99 to '02. Has anyone with a '99 or '00 9-3/9-3 Viggen had this problem and paid for a new fuel pump too?
