Engine air filter or cabin A/C air filter?
Engine air filter...
Filter housing is a rectangular box alongside the right fender, towards the front.
There's a fat, short rubber duct from the filter over to the compressor. Two hose clamps & remove that; it makes it easier to remove the top of the filter housing. There's a clip underneath that duct, un-do it.
There's a wire harness alongside the inboard side of the filter, it hides one of the screws. You might have to un-clip it, or maybe just push it aside. There's 4 screws around the rim of the box, I think they're torx T25 but there's a torx screwdriver in the trunk toolkit.
It's a bit awkward to work the lid of that air filter housing out from underneath the lip of the fender. It's even harder if you left the rubber air duct connected... Toss the old filter, put the new one in. It'll be obvious which way is right-side up.
Search around here - I think it's Dean who had a good write-up about the cabin air filter. It's underneath the windshield wipers.
