ACC is the big tipoff...... ACC is the big tipoff and the most important distinguishing element. Many other things came with the SE, but it changes so much from year to year and is slightly different from vert to sedan. Later Verts in 2001, and sedans in 2002 were all SE's and the ACC or digital automatic climate control was part of the premium package. Non SE or non premium package cars have HVAC knobs, that are known for binding up making the more complicated ACC cars more reliable.
SE's or premium package cars are primarily distinguished by the ACC that was bundled with a power passenger seat, memeory for the drivers seat, improved stereo with amps and spearkers in the doors, enhanced SID, and wood on the dash. Sometimes on the earlier 9-3s and NG900's the SE's came with 16" wheels, Viggens were all SE spec. SE or premium package cars sometimes had the sport chassis with the same ride height, but slightly stiffer with bigger anti-roll bars.
