Look for vacuum leaks.
Check the AIC valve, alongside the throttle body. I looked on eEuroparts for a picture, no luck...
Just a wild guess, but maybe you pulled off a vacuum hose or unplugged part of the wiring harness while tugging on the clutch cable?
That AIC valve should be cleaned out periodically with throttlebody cleaner, along with the throttlebody itself.
You had a CEL before & 'relaced the component'... WHAT component was that? (although most likely it isn't related)
