Well that was easy. 2002 9-3 SE with premium and OnStar. The Parrot installs using the ISO plugs on the back of the HU: the Parrrot harness sits between the car's wiring and the HU, acting as a pass-through until you hit the send key. When that happens (or you receive a call, or whatever) the Parrot mutes the HU ("TELEPHONE" is displayed on the SID) and routes the sound over the sound system. I did nothing to the OnStar hardware or the plug on the back of the HU. it looks like there is a tel-mute in lead on both the OnStar ISO plug and on the ISO plug that contains the power leads.
The hardest part of the whole endeavor was deciding where to put the small key pad. I decided to put it on the blank switch below the fog light switches (An aside: my car is completely loaded, with every available option; why do I have blank switches?!?).
Bottom line, that was about as easy an install as I could have imagined, and the system works perfectly, even in an OnStar-equipped car. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
