I have no idea if this is just a standard maintainance problem,or something more serious, but I'll go ahead and ask:
I've only been driving my Saab for about a week and a half, and on my second day of driving it,it would start decellerating, despite my frantic pushes on the gas pedal, until it eventually would putter to a practical stand-still and stop. The engine continues to run and everything, but the car will just stop running.
I waited about two minutes, and it started up fine and I continued. Then it happened again. I continued that procedure until I got home. That went on for about a week. My first thought is that it was the fuel filter,so I took the car to the shop and had the filter changed, and the car ran great for about two days, and today it happened again, four times. The last time,I had to try three times to even get it running again.
Anyway, the car won't accellerate quickly even when it is working, and I figure the two problems might be related. If any of you could give me any info regarding this,I would REALLY appreciate it. I have to make it to work in the morning, and I'll probably take it back to the shop, and I just want to know what to tell the mechanic.
