I still suggest to get a shop to machine the rotors.
When a rust layer has been built and up glazed on the rotor it will be very difficult for the pad to remove that by normal driving.
Glazed rust have a much higher hardness that clean cast iron and the surface is more slippery so the pad is sliding over it with less friction compared to the opposite side without rust.
So you get some interesting forces working against each other from inner to outer side of the rotor which in turn will create a strange heat pattern and warp the rotor even more.
For me it's not that big of a problem to solve since I have the brake lathe in the shop but I know it can be more work if living far from a big city.
