Most of the posts on this board are, by necessity, sort of gloomy. (Goodness knows, I've posted a few woe-is-me ones myself.) But I thought I'd share something to remind everyone why we drive Saabs.

Thursday afternoon, New York Thruway heading south. Three of us in my 1997 900set auto 5-door, 81k, bone stock. Traffic is meandering along at 67 m.p.h. in all three lanes as we approach a mile long uphill...including an annoying new Volvo S60 who can't seem to keep out of the left lane...

...I spot an opening in the right hand lane, hit the sport button and punch it...five seconds later, we're doing 110 uphill, the 900 is asking for more...and my friend in the backseat never even woke up!

It's frightening what that little I4 can do in a straight line.
