Are you getting service at the Stealership? I would suggest finding an independent Saab mechanic. There is usually at least one Saab-only independent shop in most larger towns/cities. Look at the Mechanic's section on this website for listings. You will find much cheaper service, and probably better quality too. Dealerships make most of their money off of service, they make very little off car sales (according to a friend of mine who owns a car dealership).
Independent mechanics can use aftermarket parts (Dealerships are forbidden by mfgr contracts), and also frequently charge lower hourly labor rates. Plus you usually get to actually talk to the mechanic...rather than the Service Moron (oops, I meant Service Advisor).
Overall, Saabs are maintenance oriented cars. If you take care of them by the book, they will take care of you. If you abuse them, it may bite you in the behind. I should know, I'm on my 5th Saab, 4 of which I've driven nearly 200K.
BTW, My wife's Honda Civic had more problems than any of my Saabs.
Hope this helps.
