You are limited on the non-turbo end -
opening up the exhaust will start to reduce low end torque (moves it up the rpm scale so hp does increase a bit, but 0-60 is torque over the whole curve so net no gain) - best exhaust for non-turbo is valve for some back pressure to 2k rpm then open up to WOT by torque peak to enhance and spread...
opening the intake will allow a little better breathing -
higher octane is a waste unless knocking is ocurring and the timing is being retarded (hot summer w/ ac for instance) because the computer won't change the parameters for better than 87 oct.
Since the computer fixes the timing, you can't alter the distributor without installing a whole new spark system but that would help also with more oxy -
take the heat off the intake parts, cool the fuel lines are some gains (again in warm/hot weather only) -
You may be able to increase the fuel pressure from the regulator and it should compensate if you're getting more air in the intake -
Run 5-30 and change often, keep plugs in range, air filter replace with free flow and keep clean!
