how to make door speakers louder?

A 2002 9-3SE.
I installed an aftermarket head unit (kenwood) and a member was nice enough to make me a cable (DIN - RCA) so I can connect the new head unit to the door amps.
However, the volume of the door speakers are significantly lower compared to the dash and rear 6x9s. (I have Infinity Kappas in dash and Reference/Kappas?(I forget) in rear). I don't need a lot of bass, but I'd like to hear some...
I cannot independently adjust the sound going to the door speakers. (the dash volume will go up too much if I change the bias toward "front").
I guess the "signal" from the pre-amp out on the kenwood is too low for the Saab door amp, as it used to be too loud with the stock Saab head unit. Is there an adjustment (at the door amp?) or something I can add to the line to boost the signal? Easiest solution I have is to change the door speakers to something with a higher sensitivity, but I rather not do that, as it is wasteful.. the amp/speakers are loud... I just need to be able to tell it.
On a similar note, my 3 year old dash Kappas 3.5" bass blocker (100uF 50V) died, giving me a constant AM-radio sounding vibration/distortion/echo. From searching the archives (Thanks Yak for the posts!), I think I can go higher(50uF or less for higher-pass?). Maybe after that, I'll just up the bass on the equalizer to make up for the low signal to the doors? (doesn't sound right?!)
