If you want a 5dr that eliminates the 99 (only 3dr)

Pistons were changed in 2000 and again in 2001 (for the better?)
2001-2002 have Traction Control and Onstar
don't know of any other differences in the 5dr years (other than color)

Things to look for - HISTORY! With all the Sludging issues this is probably the biggest concern. Look for frequent oil change intervals hopefully with synthetic. A dealer can also run a Warranty history on the particular car if you give them the VIN. Other things to look for are missing pixels in SID and ACC displays, bent rims (very common). Others might add to this list.

As far as leased prior. My Viggen came off lease, I have had it for 13 months and 10,000 miles. So far it has been great, fantastic condition. The previous owner/leasee seemed to have taken very good care of it. Just find out as much as you can, have it checked out, run the VIN and make your best judgement. Good luck the car is a blast!!
