What bushing is worn out and how was that determined?
If they mean the bronze bushings inside the differential that supports the drivers/drive shaft, those bushings have some freeplay to begin with and especially the left driver can be moved up and down with ease even when everything is good.
I think I read the other week at a technician only forum that Saab have a special tool to pull those bushings out without taking the transmission apart?
I can't say for sure though since I have never seen those bushings go bad.
I have seen quite a few transmission with very little oil inside due to leaking drive shaft and clutch shaft seals but they all seem to be ok after I replaced the seals and filled them up.
So I guess it comes down to if the lube shop agrees to pay or not if you should pursue anything or just fill it up and drive.
