Thanks to all of you who sent me advice on how to test my reverse light switch. The ohmeter shows that both the old and new replacement switch are functional. The new one doesn't have to be pressed as far to work.
The problem now is that I still have no reverse lights....I've even pressed the switch by hand while it's plugged in and get nothing. The fuse is good, so my fears about wiring issues seem to be coming true. If anyone can help me DIY this problem I would appreciate it, but for those of you who know...what would an indy mechanic charge for trouble shooting and fixing this problem?
