And the '94 9000, the temp gauges became partially computer controlled. The gauge won't show normal fluctuations in temperature like the older Saabs would. I guess its so you don't get nervous looking at the gauge, when what you're seeing are normal fluctuations.
When the car heats up or cools down enough to warrant a problem (think broekn t-stat, water pump, etc.), the gauge will read accordingly.
