Hey all,
I have a 1995 900S 2.3L automatic sedan that I purchased off eBay in November of last year. It had a few minor problems immediately apparent, but after driving the car for a few months AND having to pass my local inspection in May, it soon became evident that this car suffered from a great many problems.
After using this board to research all the problems I was finding, I put together a game plan and began getting stuff done. I do all my work myself so the tips and tricks for various different operations that I found on this board were a huge help.
So, thanks to the help y'all have provided (unwittingly, most of the time...lol) here's what I've done to her:
Completely new exhaust from manifold back
New rear rotors, calipers and pads
New front rotors, calipers and pads
Replaced ALL suspension components: Struts, tie-rod ends, control arms, sway-bar links
Aligned front-end
Repacked CV joints
Replaced transmission and rear motor-mounts
Installed new Alpine radio and fabricated a filler console to match
Replaced all four tires (of course!)
Replaced one headlight housing and one foglight assembly
Made a new wiring harness for the front lights (someone had butchered them, big-time)
I think that's everything so far. I still need to replace one sun-visor and buy new hatch-struts. Oh, and I want new wheels. I have the stock steel wheels with the stock hubcaps.
Anyway, as I said, thanks for all the help over the past six-or-seven months!
