need help getting the clamp on

Hi- I finally got around to installing the steering rack clamp on my '95 v6- but how do thread the clamp on. there seems to be too many hoses etc. in the way, not to mention tie rods. It looks like one of those bar games where you have to seperate a bunch of rings or something. I just wan't to be able to use my car tommorrow....
