The DIC equipped (turbo) engines, 1994-1999(excl Viggen) do not have a AMM/MAF.

You could have an air leak*, low fuel pressure (worn pump or fouled filter) or a leak/plug in the hose to the FPR or the MAF.

*Major air leak possibility is crack or split in the large VAC line from the base of the TB to the soenoid valve on the RH fender. But the T5 should not go lean with an air leak of that type as that is not seen as being any different than haveing the throttle open a bit.

Start with the two small vac lines to the AMM and MAF. Check VAC line to the BPV as the orginal will be well rotted out by now. Line from PCV tee to the TB, with one way valve, will be hard by now and easily damaged. The nylon tee at the vavle cover will be very brittle. Cut hose with care to remove, do not pull.

Clean TB and IAC if never done before, while you are at the hose inspections/replacements.
