The main unit is up under the dash above the driver's foot well, but quite inaccessable. The unit that controls security is under the driver's seat and quite vulnerable to water damage if the floor gets soaked/flooded.
If you have had a low battery situation, the software can get into an inconsistant logic state. Rare but does happen, and then a battery disconnect for a while will work ok after a reconnect. But make sure that the key is out of the ignition. You will need your radio security code.
If a grounding point has a loose bolt, then all matter of wierd things can be expected. Have you had any work done under the dash or onthe audio.
You will need to take the time to describe the problems if you need further help.
