I purchased a 2002 93 SE in June and have since had to replace the throttle body and canister purge valve. The Saab dealer I purchased the car from inadvertantly left the auction papers from the auction house THEY bought it from. Two things I noticed on the papers were how much profit is in selling used cars (yikes). Second I noticed everthing about the car was o.k. EXCEPT for the oil condition, which was describe as poor. The car was a 3 year lease and it had 44,000 miles when I purchased it. What could cause the oil condition to be poor?? Did this person not change the oil as they should have?? I tried a course of AUTO-RX, which is an engine cleaner. I heard good things about it, so I tried it. I started using synthetic oil as soon as I purchased it and when it was changed today, my 3rd change, the oil was a black color. Any idea's on what could be causing this?? Ways to treat this??
