Snow tires for Denver, Nordfrost appropriate?

I am selling my 16" rims and Glislaved Nordfrost 205/55 R16 89Q on the parts classifieds. These have the tire size recommended for the 9-5's.
I have an enquiry from a Saaber in Denver with a 9-3. The wheel would be a good fit and the tire 3.2% taller than normal.
This would not be the narrower tread that is often suggested for snows.
But more to the point, for Denver, will the Nordfrost tires be useful or should an all out snow traction tire like a Blizzak be used? I don't want to sell these tires into the mountains if these are not right for that.
thanks
