Actually, no. When the bearing is engaged, it is under load, and that takes up all loose space and often quiets it down.
Unfortunately, the only sure cure is to completely dismantle the clutch, which means about $400 in labor alone so at 100k you really ought to replace the whole clutch kit, and a few seals while you are at it so you are looking at $850+. On the other hand, it may well last until the rest of the clutch parts wear out if you can stand the noise.
Often, if you can get a little lubrication into the bearing, it will quiet down. On C900s I have sucessfully cured this condition, for 20K and more miles, by relubing the bearing by stuffing grease into the bearing with a tool made of of a piece of a wood shingle. And others claim to have done it using can of spray grease (the kind that comes out of the can liquid then sets up) with a plastic tube applicator. It helps if you can get a look at a bearing to figure out where the lube should go.
