both vc's were replaced. decided to go back to the dealer who did the coil pack, cel was flashing as I left my home, engine misfiring, and the car also started embarrassing me by belching lots of white smoke and stink from the exhaust as I stopped at a few lights. I continued my trek, got on I-95, kept my fingers crossed as I picked up speed, and the cel went solid and the car seemed to run just fine. No more smoking as I slowed down and arrived at the dealer, they hooked the computer up, no more codes other then the earlier misfires. they said maybe I had bad gas and that saabs run better on premium. luckily, no charge.
Does this sound right? What was all that white smoke, I know it usually means head gasket problems, but this corrected itself, possibly helped by going fast and blowing something out? Any advice, my hubby says trade it in while it's running. I would like to keep the car that i've put so much time and money into, but do thes symptoms sound like I'm leading up to a serious problem?
Also, broke the core of the fuel shrader valve today, bought simple tire valve core at autozone, fits nice, thanks michael p for advice.
Also, when I called dealer this morning he told me to tow car to him, that I could damage the DI pack if I drove. (I drove it anyway) I said I didn't think the V6 had a DI, he said it does, I didn't argue but who's right?
Thanks
