I'll agree, that wiper stalk is a lousy piece of engineering. I was driving my parents' old Civic wagon over the weekend in the rain and thinking what a nice, light, and precise feeling wiper stalk it has. The only advantage that the Saab has is that the rear wiper switch is in the perfect position so you can flick it with your little finger as your're driving for a quick wipe, and don't have to turn a secondary rotary switch for it like you do on the Civic. The Civic also doesn't have an intermittant rear wiper, which is very annoying.
