hello and good day,

this probably should be posted in another forum, but decided to go here since this was my old bb back when I had my 94 900s v6, which unfortunately died last year from timing gear woodruff key failure. Any how I have been on the jag-lovers site since then working on gettin the v12 up-n-atem. anyhow, both forums seem to agree that mobil one synthetic oil is the way to go, and most people usually go 5000 miles between changes, but today while in the auto parts house looking for motor oil, I came upon a puzzling question, or questions is more like it. My usual oil is the mobil one fully synthetic, but now they are starting to stock a mobil one fully synthetic with 7500 and 15000 mile gaurantees. I'm curious if there is a difference between the regular fully synthetic and the one with the gaurantee. Is it just the same stuff with the "all new" label. The stuff is only $0.6 more per quart, perhaps it has some chemisty that prolongs its life?

would there be any adverse affects of mixing the two bottles? by the way, what would happen if you mixed a regular dyno with a synthetic, isnt this what the synthetic blends are anyhow?

anyhow, I got a real kick out of seeing what the guys that worked there had to say about it. The best was when the guy shook two bottles of the same weight oil and then told me that the one with the 15000 mile guarantee was thicker:=)

p.s. glad to see some of the other V6's still here: Jeremy R
p.s. just visited my girlfriend in burlington vt, man you cant go one block without seeing like 5 saabs! made me miss mine.

thanks
gray man
