Wife's 85 900T that we brought from Germany died last Monday night. Fuel relay and injectors are shot and not worth repairing--needs tires and exhaust repair too. Body and interior, except for dash, remain in great shape. Looks like we will donate to local charity. We've owned Saabs continuously since 1980, but looks like she will get a different brand. We test drove a 2006 93 SS 2.0T but the seats hurt her back. One of the primary reasons she drove Saabs was because of the great seats. Last weekend, we tried out the 2006 93 AERO. It handled great and the driver's seat met her needs. But, when she moved into the passenger seat so I could drive, she immediately complained of pain in her back. Unlike my Viggen, there's no lumbar support adjustor for the passenger seat. Why is that? Seems cheap to me. We tried three other AEROs, but they were the same. What a bummer. She is considering a G35 coupe that fits her like a glove, but the seat is a little small for me. I asked the Saab dealer if we could get a UK driver's seat installed (lumbar support for passenger) but the wait time for that to happen would be prohibitively long and no guarantee that it would work properly. I guess when the Viggen goes, that will end our time as a Saabing family. It's sad.
