You say it cranks strong, so I bet it's not the starter. The starter's ONLY job is to spin the engine. If it's not slow or struggling, then it's OK.
I'd suggest plugs, but they're new. How about looking (in the dark) for arcing across the surface of distributor cap? You've covered all the other stuff I would have suggested...
Did the old spark plugs look OK? Did you check the gap of the new ones or trust them out of the box?
