My fan was causing quite an annoying whizzing sound until I easily took off the passenger side kick panel, pushed out the fan assembly, disconnected it cleaned it with alcohol and cotton swabs and lubricated it with some silicone spray. Not a peep since, and I saved myself some bucks. It took a total of fifteen minutes or so. But that was in summer with no gloves or parka on. Waiting for snow in Minnesota.
