Clutch pedel noise

Giday,
I recently had my car serviced at 110,000klms. I had the timing belt, pullies, thermostat, crank seals, water pump and clutch cable (5spd man) replaced. About 3 months ago.
I am now experiencing a clunking sound when I depress the cluct pedel for the first 10mins each time I start up, and then it goes away for the day. The feel and hear the clunk noise in the first 2 inches of depressing the clutch. It seems to come from inside the compartment and not the engine bay.
It this a simple spray and lubricate job of the cable, or has anyone also experienced this phenomenon? I can remove the underdash compartment but it is rather difficult to see or identify a part that is not in its right place. Thus this email to your guys.
Its a 1996 900S V6 that runs like a dream.
Thanks for you support and assistance.
Jason
