Replaced rear springs - now won't start? Connection?

I put the stock rear springs back in my car and now it won't start. I find that odd timing. It's getting fuel or at least I think so as I can smell raw gas from the tailpipe. Yes, that is not good for the cat.
The car turns over but just seems like there is no spark. I wondered about the direct ignition cassette but it "seems" fine. I still find the timing of this strange. I can't see how anything in the rear of the car could affect the ignition. Maybe it thinks it was towed and cut off the ignition? I had the rear up quite high.
