CPO Warranty Questions - Battery/Bumper repaired

I have a 2001 viggen coupe with a CPO warranty I bought in Feb 04.
The battery is original and with the colder temps here now I'm getting alittle worried about it. Does anyone know if I can just get a new battery for free without mine dying first?
second question - My viggen bumper appears to have been cracked and then fixed/painted by the previous owner or the dealership. (it was a company car, so same thing I guess probably). I cracked it myself and I was looking at it the other day because I wanted to fix it. there was screen material behind the crack like someone had previously fixed it up and it has also been repainted I've noticed previously.
Do I have a case to get the whole thing replaced under the CPO since they sold me a repaired/repainted bumper?
if so, would it be the dealership that sold it to me or could I get any dealership to do it?
Thanks!
