First things first: 2002 93 SE - 64k
For the T5 and T7 systems, the DIC/IDM can be faked out by some octane enhancers and you can get reduced boost for your money! These are not like any other engine control system in the world.
Such additives are expensive. And when they talk about increasing octane x number of points, those are 1/10 ths of an octane number! Trivial in any case. Octane at the premium pump is your best bet.
To take advange of that pump octane, you need clean injectors, the right plugs properly gapped. Then there are the mods....
