I don't recall ever seeing a report of a failing DIC causing a failed throttle body (TB). DIC's can foul the catalytic converter (CAT) because it is 'downstream' of the ignition system and the rich mixture condition that a failing DIC sometimes creates has the potential to soot up the CAT so it can't do it's job.

However, the TB is 'upstream' of the DIC, and IMHO there would not be a reason to link the two failures. See link at the bottom for why TB's fail.

You can do some preventive maintenance and periodically clean the throttle body to avoid failure in the future. Search this board for cleaning the throttle body or similar.

As far as the air conditioner, no relation either. Sorry for your run of bad luck, though.
